Our Approach
We approach all clients with the understanding that we are all part of systems which impact our beliefs, thoughts, behaviors, and values. In the counseling room, we create a safe environment where individuals are free to be their authentic and vulnerable selves. It is from this non-judgmental space that we help people find healing and hope as they navigate the storms of life. We approach each person with authenticity, curiosity, and humor, and collaboratively work with clients to determine individualized treatment plans. We look at each person as a whole, paying attention to how their environment, early relationships, and previous experiences inform the presenting issue.
We look forward to walking beside you.
Approach
The modalities I draw from most consistently include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocess (EMDR), and Bowenian Transgenerational Systems Theory.
Emotionally Focused Therapy is one of the most well researched approaches to relationship therapy, shown to improve connection and safety. I have completed both EFT externship and core skills, and am working towards certification and receive regular EFT supervision/consultation.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a scientifically supported approach to treating trauma. It is the preferred approach utilized by the Veterans Affairs Department to treat PTSD. This approach has proven to help individuals heal from both trauma and distressing events.

Approach
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for helping people overcome their challenges and improve their overall well-being. I love what I do and believe in being a safe, trusting and accepting space for all who walk through the door. I value being supportive, while also being real, and believe humor has an important place in the healing process.
I have worked with diverse client populations, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, anger management, grief and loss, and more. I work well with adolescents, as well as all phases of adulthood.
My approach to counseling is integrative, drawing upon evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Affirmative Therapy. I firmly believe in the power of collaboration between the client and therapist, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs and goals. By employing a strengths-based perspective, I help clients recognize their inner resources and resilience, empowering them to face life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.

My experience includes, working in the substance use disorder field and extensive training in Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation.
