Approach

My holistic approach to therapy is conversational and client focused. I provide a confidential space with support while you navigate feelings, experiences, and obstacles. Together, we explore strategies and identify thinking patterns. I integrate various evidence-based treatment modalities depending on the area and impact. I blend mindfulness techniques with CBT and DBT interventions paired with Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and EMDR to facilitate all stages change.

As a veteran myself, I am passionate about serving those who serve us. In addition to being a veteran, my previous experience includes working in the substance use disorder field and extensive training in Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation. I have worked with local Indigenous communities and understand the magnitude and impacts of generational trauma. Recently, I worked with high- risk teens in an educational setting. I have witnessed adversities translate to strengths, in both personal and professional spheres.

Approach

My approach to therapy is compassionate, highly relational, and collaborative. I work to help guide individuals, children, couples, and families in every stage of life. I work with individuals on an array of presenting issues, including burnout, low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, and family conflict. My work with children focuses on generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, and family transitions. In couples’ work, we focus on transforming communication, rebuilding trust and security, and strengthening the connection within the relationship.

The therapeutic modalities I draw from include, but are not limited to, Attachment-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I draw from evidence-based approaches and elements of systemic therapy to guide my clients towards growth and healing.

I believe that a supportive therapeutic relationship is key to the success of therapy, so I offer a free 15-minute consultation. If you’re ready to start the next step of creating positive change, send me a message, and we can set something up. It would be an honor to be a part of this journey with you.

Approach

Compassion, authenticity, and a sense of humor are at the heart of my work. Clients describe me as engaging, collaborative, and non-judgemental. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can show up as your true self and feel comfortable exploring even the most vulnerable parts of your experience. Together, we will work toward your therapeutic goals in a way that honors your unique strengths, challenges, and life story.

I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults, ages 15 to 70+, helping clients navigate a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship and communication challenges, conflict resolution, intimacy issues, stress, and major life transitions. My Master’s degree in Counseling and post-graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy have prepared me to work effectively and compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

My therapeutic approach is informed by Attachment Theory and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Bowen Family Systems Theory. I believe that healing happens not only through insight, but also through connection, healthy relationships, movement, community, and moments of laughter. I enjoy helping clients strengthen these areas as part of their overall well-being.

For clients who prefer a more active approach, I offer walk-and-talk therapy sessions, which can help reduce emotional overwhelm, support nervous system regulation, and promote deeper processing and reflection.
